10 biggest problems with the Galaxy S9 and how to solve them

Everyone, even the best cell phones, has its flaws and things that don't work right. Therefore, we decided to select the most common problems with the Galaxy S9 and explain how to solve them.

If you use it and think you can benefit from it, read on and get rid of the inconvenience!

1. Wi-Fi connectivity issues

The first of the problems with the Galaxy S9 is also one of the common problems of Android, which you will find on almost all devices that use this operating system.

To be able to solve WiFi problems, just follow the steps below, remembering that they can be valid for the most varied cell phone models. Examples of what we managed to solve are abrupt drops in the connection or the impossibility of finding a network.

First, do the most obvious: restart your modem and your Galaxy. If the problem persists, you can go to the "Settings", go on “Wi-Fi settings”, find the network you want to connect to, click "Forget network" and retype the password.

2. Slow loading

The S9 has fast charging technology, which can fully charge your phone in less than two hours, or 60% in less than one! So, if the loading is slow, there is something strange going on.

First of all, make sure that the charger you are using supports this feature. If the answer is yes, it is possible that the quick charge is disabled.

To reactivate, go to the "Settings", click in "Drums" and then activate the “Fast Loading” to enjoy functionality! Remember that if your problem is a smartphone does not charge, just follow our tutorial to solve it!

3. Touch sensitivity issues

One of the most serious problems with the S9 is about its touchscreen. Many people have complained that the smartphone does not register touches in some areas or that they are simply having more general sensitivity problems.

One way to resolve this is to go to "Settings", in " Advanced Settings" and finally, in “Touch sensitivity”. With that, you can define how responsive the smartphone should be.

Another alternative is to open the "Calls", enter * # 0 * # and click on "Touch". With this, you can determine if you have areas that do not really work on the screen, the necessary pressure and type information.

4. The resolution is not as good as expected

Another problem with the Galaxy S9 is a resolution that is not quite what you expected. This is a setting that is enabled at the factory, to help you save battery, since its screen is Quad-HD, 2960 x 1440, which can drain a lot.

However, if you want to take advantage of all the pixels on your screen, just follow the guide below!

First, go to "Settings", click in "Display" and in the menu "Screen resolution", select the WQHD + option. Doing so can also be ideal if you want to record your Android screen to create a video, for example!

5. Bluetooth connectivity issues

Something extremely common to find in Samsung smartphones, which was present in the Galaxy S8 and now in the Galaxy S9 are problems with bluetooth.

If you are trying to pair with some other device but cannot find it, it can probably be resolved easily. Remembering that, as the S9 has Bluetooth 5.0 technology, these problems should no longer occur.

To repair, go to the "Settings", touch "Applications" and, finally, in the options for "Bluetooth", clear the cache.

6. Applications are not in full screen

Another thing that is also a factory skill option by Samsung is that not all apps will run in full screen, due to the aspect ratio, which is slightly larger than normal (18: 9 on Galaxy S9 versus 16: 9 on most others).

If you want your apps to all run on full screen to avoid the black bars that appear in those that have not yet been optimized, follow the steps below.

First, open the "Settings" from your smartphone. Now, click "Display" and in the section “Full screen apps”, activate full screen mode for all applications.

7. Dark super slow motion videos

Another problem with the Galaxy S9 is that videos recorded in super slow motion can end up being very dark, with very bad lighting. In short, when you switch to 960fps recording mode, everything goes dark.

To resolve this and fix the lighting on these videos, just go to "Settings" device, click "Advanced Settings" and, finally, disable the feature of "Smart Stay".

Okay, now you can record very beautiful (and slow) videos without having to go through this problem!

8. Messaging app sending photos automatically

The standard S9 messaging application has a bug that can automatically send photos from your gallery to your contacts. This is a major privacy issue for users!

As much as Samsung has already made an update to the app available, you may still be in the old version. Just in case, you may want to follow the steps below.

First, go to the "Settings". Then, go to the option "Applications" and find the messaging app there. Now, head to the "Permissions" and disable the "Storage". With that, your smartphone can only send photos that you approve!

9. Speaker problems

Another thing, faced by many who have taken advantage of the IP68 certification, which guarantees resistance to water and dust, is speakers with very muffled sound.

This can occur when his grid is internally wet. This will probably work itself out, without you being able to do anything, but don't worry. Just wait for it to dry properly (and if you want to try to speed up the process, tap it against your hand to try to push the water out).

10. The application drawer icon is missing

The last of the Galaxy S9 problems on our list is another one that comes enabled by default, but if you want you can easily change it.

To do this, simply hold your finger against your device's home screen in an empty area. Now, click on the gear and click on the option called “Apps button”. Finally, select “Show apps button”!

If you prefer, you can also make use of some of the best launcher apps (home screen) on your S9.
