Beastars is an extremely cute and engaging anime, based on the manga of the same name, set in a world of anthropomorphized animals, which has a strong tension between carnivores and herbivores. At Cherryton Academy, where everything happens, early in the series an alpaca is murdered by a student.
The main character, Legosi, being a gray wolf becomes the main target of suspicion. He focuses on keeping his head down, as he always has, and hiding his predatory side. It also tells of his unrestrained love for a white dwarf rabbit, and all the tensions between interspecies relationships.

3. Carole & Tuesday
Carole & Tuesday is another of the best animes of 2019, produced by the studio Bones, responsible for titles like Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and My Hero Academia, and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, responsible for Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, two of the best anime of all the times.
The story follows two girls united by music, who meet by chance and realize that their talents complement each other. They form a musical duo of two humans, in a world where everything popular is produced by artificial intelligences.

4. Fruits Basket
It is possible that you already know the previous version of the animation of Fruits Basket, released in the early 2000s, which turned out to be so bad that the author decided never to have an anime of her series done again. It follows the story of Tohru Honda, a high school teenager who is adopted by the Soma clan, a family whose members carry the reincarnated spirit of a Chinese zodiac animal. 5. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai

It is extremely fun to watch all their crazy plans, with the intention of forcing the other to declare themselves. Miyuki is the president of his school's student union, and has the best grades in the country, being considered a genius. 6. Given
Given is one of the best animes of 2019, of the Shounen-Ai genre, which follows the story of a guitarist, Ritsuka Uenoyama, who was no longer liking music. When he finds Mafuyu Sato and hears him sing, however, everything changes and Mafuyu asks to learn to play the guitar.
With that, he joins the Ritsuka band and explores many past traumas, exploring them deeply. It has a Yaoi representation on the list, which is another positive point.
