It is based on the 2013 video game of the same name, being a reboot of the Tomb Raider film saga and featuring Alicia Vikander in the main role.

4. John Carter: Between two worlds
From 2012, John Carter: Between two Worlds is a science fiction film based on the book A Princess of Mars, the first in the Barsoom series. It is directed by Andrew Stanton, scripted by him along with Mark Andrews and Michael Chabon and has Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins and Samantha Morton in the cast.

5. Monty Python in Search of the Holy Grail
Monty Python in Search of the Holy Grail is a classic from 1975, which is certainly one of the best Netflix movies in 2019. Created by the comedy group Monty Python, it is a classic of its kind.

7. Interview with the Vampire
Of gothic horror, Interview with the Vampire is another one of the best Netflix fantasy films, from 1994 directed by Neil Jordan based on the book by Anne Rice of the same name. It features Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in the cast.
It follows the life of two vampires, Lestat and Luis, starting from the transformation of Louis in 1791 by Lestat. 8. Casa do Lago
Another excellent film on our list is A Casa do Lago, one of the best Netflix drama films of 2006 directed by Alejandro Agresti, written by David Auburn and starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and Christopher Plummer. It is a remake of the 2000 South Korean film, Il Mare.

9. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Of the fantasy genre, it is certainly one of the most famous. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth film in the saga, but it is the first in the Netflix catalog. It is based on the books of the same name by J. K. Rowling and has, in the cast, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.

10. Fantastic Animals and Where to Find Them
