iFood: learn how to place orders via PC and app
Ordering food delivery has become increasingly popular in large part because of the coronavirus quarantine. If you don't know them, this guide is for you, as we will teach you how to use iFood.

1. What is iFood?
If you got here and are curious about iFood, but you don't really know what it is, don't worry. Before we teach you how to place orders on it, we will explain what it is.
A Brazilian company founded in May 2011 as a startup, iFood works in the food delivery business. It is the leading company in the sector in Latin America, with a presence in Argentina, Mexico and Colombia.
It was acquired in 2014 by Movile, which, together with the various risky investments received, made the company grow explosively.
IFood has as one of its main objectives to become the largest and best delivery platform in Latin America, giving its consumers as many options as possible. It has more than 2 million active users and millions of orders each month.
2. How to place orders with iFood?
Now that you know a little about this excellent delivery platform, we will explain how to sign up for it and how to place orders, so you can always have access to your favorite foods in the comfort of your home without having to worry about cooking.
To start your iFood registration, download the app using the links for Android or iOS, or go to the official website to place orders using your favorite browser.
On PC
First, we will explain how to sign up for iFood through any of the internet browsers. For that, it is necessary that you go to the official website of the platform, where you can start your registration by clicking on the button "Log in".
On the screen that will open, you can choose whether to register by connecting your Facebook account, connecting your Google account, using your email address or your cell phone number.
If you choose e-mail or cell phone, you will then need to enter the 5-digit code received to proceed. Then, the website will ask for your full name and your cell phone number. Enter the information and click on the "Continue".
You will now need to enter your address wherever orders are delivered. If you prefer, you can also click on the “Use my location” so that your browser shares it with the platform.
At the top of the screen you can search for items or restaurants, change the delivery location, check all the promotions that are happening near you, change your profile and check your bag.
Just below is a banner with some ad (as can be seen here, is to ask for a market and receive at home). Below that, there is a list of the types of establishments on the platform, being able to select the desired one to see only businesses of the type.
Going further down the page, you will see some offers and then the possibility to completely filter which establishment you want. When you find the one you want, click on it, choose what you want to order from the menu, add it to your bag and finally choose the payment method that works best for you and the restaurant accepts).
In-app
Now, in the case of using iFood through your apps, it is first necessary to download it, either for Android through the Play Store or for iPhone through the App Store.
With it installed, let's see how to use iFood on your cell phone. Open the application and you will come across a screen that will ask for access to your location, which facilitates the process. If you prefer to choose to guarantee your privacy, you can skip this and after just entering the address.
Now, you must register. Just like on the website, you can choose to connect your Facebook, Google account, use an email address or your cell phone number. If you prefer, you can explore the app without registering, but you cannot ask for anything. The rest of the process is exactly the same as the other option.
With your iFood registration done, let's see how to place orders and explore all the options of establishments. At the top of the screen, it will be possible to select the desired option from among the various types of establishments in iFood.
Just below that, you can choose filters for establishments, such as "Market", "Pizza", "Pastry", or "Bakeries", tooth several others.
When you find the establishment you want to buy, click on it and then choose from the menu what you want. click in "Add" to put in your bag, decide which payment method you want to use and send the order. Now just wait!
