The year ended and Netflix launched its official list of the 10 most popular Netflix shows, along with the most popular Netflix movies and more. We decided to write a little about them and increase their selection a little. 1. La Casa de Papel (third season)
The first of the most popular series on Netflix in 2019 is La Casa de Papel, which became extremely famous very quickly. He accompanies a group of criminals assaulting the Spanish Mint during the first two seasons.

2. The Witcher
This is a series that was launched in the last weeks of 2019, but even so close to the end of the year, it gained extreme popularity. It is based on a series of Polish books of the same name, which also served as inspiration for a series of video games.

3. Tuning
Another of the most popular series on Netflix is Sintonia, which is also the first Brazilian on our list. It is created and directed by KondZilla, one of the largest online music producers in the country.
It is narrated by the points of view of three characters, Doni, Nando and Rita, who are residents of a São Paulo favela. It deals with topics such as drug trafficking and religion, also talking about the intersection of the two with music. Follow the link to watch.
4. Titans
Titãs is an American web series that takes place in the DC universe. Based on comics Teen Titans, the series tells the story of a group of young heroes who join in their fight against evil.

5. Sex Education
An original Netflix comedy web series, created by Laurie Nunn. The first season follows Otis, a very bad social teenager, and his mother, who is also a sex therapist.

6. Stranger Things (third season)
Stranger Things is another one of the most popular series on Netflix, which follows a group of child friends in their town of Hawkins, in the 80s. This season, with them a little older, they face personal problems, such as pre- adolescents, in addition to supernatural confusions.

7. Brotherhood
Another Brazilian series, Irmandade is a police television series created by Pedro Morelli for the Netflix streaming service. It tells the fictional story of a criminal faction of the same name in the 1990s.
Cristina, a lawyer at first honest, is forced to face ethical and moral issues when she finds out that her brother, who has been missing for years, is in prison and is the leader of the Brotherhood. Check out this series on Netflix!
8. Lucifer (fourth season)

9. The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy is an original Netflix series that was made based on the comics of the same name. It was developed by Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater and follows the story of a dysfunctional family of overpowered adopted siblings, who are forced to reunite after their father dies.

10. You (second season)
This is the last of the most popular series on Netflix according to the announcement on Twitter. It is a series of psychological thriller, which follows Joe, a bookstore manager, who is also a serial killer.

11. The Good Place
The Good Place is one of the best comedy series of all time, created by Michael Schur. The first season focuses on Eleanor Shellstrop, who wakes up in the afterlife in Lugar Bom, where only people who have done well in her life go.

One of the most popular series on Netflix is GLOW, which tells a fictional story based on real events, a union of professional wrestlers in the 1980s.

Another Brazilian series on our list, developed based on a 2009 pilot episode, is 3%. It is the first original Netflix series made in Portuguese, and the second that is not in English.

15. Explaining
Explanando is one of the most popular series on Netflix, initially launched in 2018. It is a series in online documentary format, whose episodes explain completely different topics.

16. Condemning Eyes
A drama miniseries, Eyes That Damn was created, directed and written by Ava DuVernay for Netflix in May 2019. It draws on real events from the late 1980s and explores the lives of five black men who have been falsely accused of a crime.

17. Jessica Jones
Jessica Jones is a web series created for Netflix by Melissa Rosenberg, based on the comic book character of the same name. It is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM), and has several sister series, such as Daredevil and the Punisher.

Jessica Jones's sister series, The Punisher was created for Netflix by Steve Lightfoot and is based on the comic book character of the same name, also being part of UCM.

Another of the most popular series on Netflix, Dial Amiga to Kill is a cruel comedy created by Liz Feldman, which was released in May 2019 on the platform.

A science fiction series, Lost in Space is a reimagination of the 1965 series of the same name, which was created based on the book THE Swiss Robinson family, from 1812, which follows the adventures of a family of space colonists who leave the route.

27. Orange Is the New Black (seventh season)
Everyone has heard of Orange Is the New Black, a comedy and drama series created by Jenji Kohan for Netflix. It is based on Piper Kerman's book of the same name, about his experiences in a minimal security prison.

Queer Eye is one of the most popular series on Netflix, being an original of the platform. It was released in February 2018, and is already in the fourth season.

The Crown is a historical drama that takes place during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It was created and written by Peter Morgan and produced for Netflix. Its first season covers all events from 1947 to 1956.

The last of the most popular series on Netflix is Dark, a German series set in the fictional city of Winden. The story revolves around four families, revealing their dark pasts and broken relationships.
